Community Manager

Permanent employee, Full-time · Stockholm, Oslo

Job description
Verdane is looking for a Community Manager to lead and further develop our portfolio-wide community platform across 100+ technology-enabled companies.

Today, our community brings together more than 900 executives through six annual in-person conferences, approximately 100 events per year, and ~12 digital communities. This platform is a core part of how we create value across our portfolio, facilitating knowledge sharing, strengthening leadership teams, supporting talent sourcing, and contributing to investment origination.

We are now looking for someone who can take this to the next level.

This is a highly autonomous role with significant visibility. You will report to senior members of the management team and work closely with colleagues across Investment, Investor Relations, Elevate (our operational team), and Events. You will be the central coordinator of our community efforts and the owner of both strategy and execution.
Your responsibilities
As Community Manager, you will:

Own and evolve Verdane’s community strategy
  • Design and execute a portfolio-wide engagement strategy that drives knowledge sharing, operational improvement, and collaboration across 100+ companies.
  • Define priority themes (e.g., AI, go-to-market, product, leadership) in partnership with Investment and Elevate teams.
Curate high-impact executive engagement
  • Lead a growing network of CXOs and functional leaders.
  • Support programming and execution of six annual physical conferences
  • Own planning and execution of ~100 digital events per year
  • Develop formats that move beyond networking to measurable value creation.
Own community infrastructure and operations
  • Partner with the Events Director on invitations, administration, and follow-up.
  • Introduce automation and AI-enabled processes to improve scalability and insight generation.
Measure and communicate impact
  • Define and track KPIs for engagement, onboarding, offboarding, knowledge sharing, and OKR alignment.
  • Provide structured reporting to internal stakeholders and Limited Partners (LPs)

The community is not an isolated initiative, it is an integrated part of Verdane’s value creation and positioning as a long-term, active partner.
Your profile
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally within community management, ecosystem building, events, marketing, or a related role in a tech, VC, or PE environment.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders (CXO-level) and coordinating across multiple functions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage many parallel workstreams with structure and consistency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to structure complex information clearly and drive alignment.
  • A self-starting mindset with the confidence to work independently and take ownership from idea to execution.
  • Strong digital capabilities, including experience with CRM systems, community platforms, and data-driven follow-up. Familiarity with automation and AI tools is an advantage.
  • Commercial awareness and interest in how networks can support both talent and investment sourcing.
  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
  • Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus.
